How To Get From Rapid City To Mount Rushmore

It takes around 30 minutes to drive your Rapid City car rental from downtown to the Mount Rushmore National Monument in the Black Hills.

  1. Head south on US-16 West for around 17 miles.
  2. Take the US-16A slip road towards Mount Rushmore.
  3. Continue along US-16A East through Keystone.
  4. Merge onto SD-244 West and follow the road to the Mount Rushmore car park.

 

How To Get From Rapid City Regional Airport To Downtown

It is only around an 18-minute drive from the airport to Rapid City in your rental car. Simply head west on the SD-44 and continue until you reach the downtown area.
