Main Routes in Fort Lauderdale

  • Interstate 95 runs through the center of Fort Lauderdale, from north to south. It travels southwards towards Miami and leads north into West Palm Beach and Jacksonville. How to Get From Fort Lauderdale to Miami

  1. Leave Downtown via West Broward Boulevard.
  2. Take the left lane to turn left onto I-95 S.
  3. Merge onto I-95 South.
  4. Stay left at the fork to remain on I-95 South for 12 miles.
  5. Use the exit towards FL-826 for 8 miles.
  6. Merge back onto I-95 South and follow signs for Miami.
  7. Take Exit 2C for Miami Avenue and follow to arrive in Downtown Miami.

 

Fort Lauderdale to Orlando

The bright lights and epic theme parks of Orlando are around a three-to-four-hour drive away with your car rental from central Fort Lauderdale. Simply take I-95 North out of Downtown and merge onto Florida's Turnpike at Exit 87B. Travel for around 143 miles before using Exit 259 to take I-4 into central Orlando.
