Pikes Peak Highway
This zig-zagging mountain road is something of a world icon. On a normal day, this 19-mile toll road is a breathtaking drive. But once a year, it's a motorsport spectacle, hosting the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb, also known as the Race to the Clouds, and attracting some of the world's most talented drivers.
Rampart Range Road
This four-hour round trip is a true escape with spectacular views of the Pike National Forest’s flora and fauna. Be aware, there are no gas stations or stores, so make sure you have everything you’ll need before you head out.
Lariat Loop
It takes about an hour and a half to get to the Lariat Loop Scenic Byway in the evergreen foothills of the Rocky Mountains. It’s located just west of Denver – so you could visit the state’s capital while taking a trip out here.
