  • Interstate 75 (I-75) is a major north-to-south US highway. It briefly merges with the I-64 at Lexington before breaking off north towards Cincinnati and south to Richmond.
  • Kentucky Route 4 forms an inner beltway around Lexington’s center. Once here, you can take US-60 towards Blue Grass Airport or US-25 to Kentucky Horse Park.

It takes 20 minutes to drive the nine miles from downtown Lexington car rental to Kentucky Horse Park.

  1. Leave downtown Lexington north-west on West Main Street.
  2. Turn right on to Newton Pike and follow it for about six miles.
  3. At the crossroads, turn left on to Iron Works Pike.
  4. Take a right turn on to Iron Works Parkway.
  5. Follow the signs to your destination.

 

How to Get From Lexington car rental to Louisville

Louisville is just an hour-and-a-half drive away when you rent a car from downtown Lexington. To reach the bustling city center, head out of Lexington via West Main Street and Leestown Road, then merge on to the I-64 West directly into the city.
