  • A45 is a dual carriageway running from the NEX in Birmingham to Thrapston, bypassing a number of major towns and cities, including Coventry.
  • A4053 is Coventry’s Inner Ring Road surrounding Coventry City Center. It is only 2.5 miles long, connecting with the three other roads out of the city – A4114, A4600 and A429.
  • M6 is the ‘Backbone of Britain’ and runs 232 miles from Glasgow to London through the northwest of England and passing through Birmingham and Coventry.

 

How to Get From Coventry to Cambridge

It takes around 90 minutes to drive the 79.8 miles from Coventry to Cambridge in your rental car.

  1. Leave the Coventry car rental car park at Lockhurst Lane and take the second exit onto the B4118. Take the third exit to stay on the B4118, then take the second exit at the next roundabout.
  2. Take a slight left onto the A444, then take the second exit to stay on the A444. At Exhall Interchange, leave at the third exit to the to the M6 slip road towards London/Coventry East/M1.
  3. Continue on the M6 for 13.1 miles and stay right, following signs for A14 East. Stay on the A14 for 19.2 miles and keep right to continue on the A14 for 38.8 miles. Use the left lane to keep on the M11, following signs for London.
  4. Take the exit for A1307 towards Cambridge. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Huntingdon Road/A1307 and arrive at Cambridge.

 

How to Get From Coventry to Birmingham Airport

Coventry is just a 20-minute drive from Birmingham Airport. Leave the Coventry car rental car park and turn left onto Lockhurst Lane, then take the second exit at the roundabout onto Holbrook Lane.

Join the A444 north and use the first exit to get onto the M6 towards Birmingham. Keep left to follow the M25 and take the exit at junction 4 for the M5/Birmingham. Keep right to get on the M42, and then take the exit at junction 6 onto the A45 to Birmingham. Take the B4438 exit towards Solihull/Hampton/Bickenhall/Catherine-de-Barnes. Stay left at the fork, following signs for Airport and take the second exit at the roundabout to Airport Way.
