How to get from Avignon to Marseille

It takes around one hour and 15 minutes to drive the 64 miles to Marseille from Avignon in a rental.

  1. Leave the Hertz car rental parking lot and follow Rocade Charles de Gaulle towards the city center.
  2. Take Boulevard de l’Oulle and Boulevard de la Ligne along the river, then keep right to join the D225.
  3. Follow the D225 and D907 until you meet the exit on to the A7.
  4. Continue along the A7 for 48 miles.
  5. Keep left at the fork and merge on to the A55, following signs to Quai de Port in Marseille.
