How do I qualify to rent a car if I’m under 25 years old?

Simply having a driver’s license isn’t enough to rent a car, but it’s
quite close. Before you decide to hire a car from Hertz, you’ll want to make
sure you have a few things. These are either to comply with laws or ensure a certain level of experience as a driver.

To get started, you need to make sure:

• You’re aged 20 or over; you may be able to rent from 18 years of age in Quebec, Michigan, or New York.
• The minimum age in Alabama and Nebraska is 19.
