Yale University has designated Hertz as its primary rental car provider. Special benefits and rates will apply for your business and leisure rentals. We encourage you to make Hertz your first choice when renting and when in accordance with your business needs.
A few things to keep in mind:
Check Yale's Car Rental Insurance Guidelines before choosing optional insurance benefits. Hertz car rentals in the 48 contiguous United States include Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) and Liability Insurance Supplemental (LIS) for Yale travelers so DO NOT purchase or accept these options at the rental counter.
All Yale University discounts and corporate rates are also available for leisure rentals. Insurance benefits, however, will apply to business travel only. Check with your own insurance company, or charge card company for coverage information. It is the renter's responsibility to notify Hertz when renting on personal business.
Hertz now delivers cars to campus from their George St. New Haven Location. Simply book on Egencia, and call Hertz 777-6861 to arrange delivery. While free delivery is avaibale to all employees, Gold members will enjoy expedited service.
All Hertz discounts are displayed in Egencia. Remember to add your Hertz Gold Plus Rewards Number to your Egencia profile. Click on "My Account" in Egencia site. Enter information in "My Profile" under "car frequent renter programs." Every time you rent a Hertz car in Egencia, your information will automatically be entered into the booking. If your're renting on personal business, please remember to update you Gold Profile with a personal credit card.
