This Hertz fob offers you maximum convenience:
- No upfront payment: Payment is made directly at the charging station using your Hertz fob. Each use in United Kingdom is charged £1,2 capped at £8.4 maximum (VAT included) regardless of the number of charging sessions per rental.
- Automatic billing: The cost is added to your Hertz invoice with no extra steps.
- Easy station location: Scan the QR code on your Hertz fob or click the button below to find partner stations near you.

Charging cables
At least one adapter cable is provided with each Hertz EV, for connecting to charging stations that don't have their own cables. A second cable for charging via a residential plug is typically provided as well. These are either stored in the boot/trunk, or in the the "frunk" (i.e. under the front bonnet).

The 80% Rule for charging
Electric vehicle batteries work best between 80-20% charge, so we strive to have our EVs at 80% at pickup.
Charge Purchase Option
Save time and skip the recharge. Return your EV at any amount above 10%, and we’ll recharge it for you for a fee — ask about our Charge Purchase Option at the start of your rental. Or, return the EV at the same battery level as pick-up and pay nothing.
How EVs are different
Fast acceleration: EV engines accelerate quickly, so press the accelerator pedal slowly to start.
Automatic slowdown: As soon as you lift your foot off the accelerator pedal, the EV begins to slow down. This recharges the battery but takes a little getting used to.
Charge near an activity: Does your hotel, restaurant, or office have nearby charging stations? Come back to a full charge!
