Off-track interests

Off the track, Da Costa is a keen surfer and likes to ride the waves near his hometown of Cascais. If he’s not surfing, he enjoys a round of golf.

Some of the brands Da Costa has endorsed include Boss, Red Bull, and Puma. António has also raised money for various charities. This includes raising funds for disabled racing driver Billy Monger.

Personal quotes and interviews:

  • “I struggle to just sit on the couch and rest. Sport is important for my mental health.”
  • “I get up in the morning and look at the conditions. If the waves are good, I get out there.”
  • “It’s great to have pressure… having no pressure means no one cares what you do. Pressure means people want you to perform, so I train every day for this. Everyone at Porsche is working towards one goal: we want to win races and championships.”
  • “It’s going to be really special” – When asked about racing in the WEC in Portimao.
