Located in Florida, in the US, the Sebring Raceway has been one of North America's most iconic motorsports locations since 1952. Sebring was built on the remnants of Hendricks Field, a World War II B-17 combat crew training base. As a fully flat ground that spans 348 acres, the raceway has no elevation changes across the tracks, with unique viewing molds built for its structure.
Surrounded by Everglades, Lake Istokpoga, and the Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park, there’s plenty to do before the race happens. Why not hire a car in Florida and explore the area? If you’ve got more time on your trip, hit up Tampa, Miami, or Orlando for a fun Florida experience.
As the Homeplate for American endurance racing, the Sebring race track has cemented itself in the racing world. But endurance is not the full picture, as there are plenty of other iconic motorsports that are set to take place here:
History of Iconic Racing Events
Upcoming events:
With so many great racing events taking place on the Sebring Racetrack, it’s important to get a good vantage point for seating. To ensure you can see some of the best adrenaline-fuelled action on the track, we’ve created a nifty guide for the best areas to book for your next visit to Sebring.
As per the track configuration, some of the best seating is around certain bends and the starting/finish grid at Sebring.
This is a great place to be for watching high-speed sections where cars reach their top speeds. You can also witness the entertaining pitstops and the winner crossing the chequered flag.
However, this comes at the cost of less action in terms of overtakes and limited variety in racing lines.
Another great option is the viewing berms, especially those around the carousel area (turn 3-5). You can grab a few folding seats and relax on the viewing mounds, with a great view of exciting racing actions of some tight turns. Areas such as the Green Park potion have a decent size so you can move around and get a variety of views alongside the racetrack.
If you’re looking for a more tactical advantage when it comes to spectating at Circuit City Sebring, FL - grandstands are the way to go. You can find them around the Bishop Bend (turn 14) and the Hairpin turn. This elevated view offers a great experience of some of the most important turns in the race.
Prefer an RV to relax in? Camp alongside the track in your own preferred position, with over 1000 parking/camping spaces available. Much more convenient for the family, these viewpoints provide you accessibility and comfort that you may not get from traditional seating.
Do remember though, that parking can get pretty packed, and others can obstruct your view. We recommend you get to the race a bit earlier to take some of the best parking and viewing spots at the Sebring circuit.
Want to bring out that inner gearhead? Sebring tickets include access to paddock areas where teams set up their vehicles. Watch top competitors such as Team JOTA make repairs and set up their vehicles for a truly authentic automobile experience.
Do remember though, viability is limited in these areas. It’s best to do the occasional visit to the paddock instead of fully setting up shop there and sitting down.
There are plenty of ways to get to the Sebring circuit with ease, whether you choose air, rail, or a car.
Air Travel
With a dedicated regional airport for Sebring, you can arrive directly or choose to land at a nearby major airport such as the Punta Gorda (PGD), Tampa (TPA), or Ft. Myers (RSW) airport.
