Where to charge your Hertz EV

For other EVs, there are a few different charging station networks in the US. You can use your EVs built-in navigation to find a charging station. 

Or Plugshare website or app lets you search multiple charging networks at once, filter by charger speed, and even use a trip planner. 

Here’s an example in Boise, Idaho:

4. Tap pin, navigate to charger

Different chargers have different charge times.

The higher the kW, the faster the charge. We recommend you look for a charger in this order: 

 

DC Fast Charge | 50-350 kW

  • 20-60 minutes charge time to 80% full
  • Best if you plan around meals or short activity

 

AC Level 2 | 7-19 kW

  • 4-10 hours charge time to 80% full 
  • Best if you plan for overnight, workday, or day-long event

 

Once you find a nearby charger, you may have to download that network’s app to pay. Examples of  charging station networks are:

  • Chargepoint 
  • Blink 
  • EVCS
  • Electrify America

  • Make sure your car is unlocked when you initiate your charge. If you then lock your car and leave it charging, make sure you unlock the car before you remove the charger.
  • The 80% Rule: EV batteries work best between 80-20% charge.
