The Hertz Rent-to-Buy scheme allows you to own your PCO car by making manageable weekly rental payments.  You will own your PCO car at the end of the contract if you pay all your weekly rental fees. 

Hire and Reward insurance, servicing, MOT, PHVL, road tax, breakdown cover.

Yes, vehicle ownership will be transferred to your name and the end of your contract.

The down payment varies depending on the model and is not refundable.  

Yes, servicing and insurance are included.

Wear and tear items such as tyres, brakes, wipers, etc are not included.

If all your payments are completed, there is just a £240 admin fee to process the name change on the log book.

No problem, you can still start a Rent-to-Buy contract with Hertz.

The minimum age is 25.

We will use a trusted third-party provider to check your eligibility against the criteria below to ensure that you fit within our insurance and risk margins:

• Age: 25+
• Valid Private Hire badge
• UK residency: minimum 5 years
• UK/EU driving license: minimum 5 years
• Convictions: max 6 points (but no serious convictions)
• Claims: no more than 1 fault claim in last 3 years

We typically accept up to 6 points, but more serious convictions are not acceptable.

All PCO drivers are welcome to drive Hire & Reward platforms.

We usually only allow up to 1 fault claim in the last 3 years. However, our insurance partner will consider each application on a case-by-case basis.

After 6 months, you will be eligible for up to 4 weeks break from making payments per year.  There is an admin fee of £25 per payment holiday week taken.  When you take a payment holiday, the number of weeks you take will be added to the end of your contract.

You can cancel your contract at any time after 3 months by giving 4 weeks notice.  You will lose all your rental payments up to that point and there is a £240 contract cancellation fee.  You will be charged for any excess mileage and any damage.

PCO insurance is free with your Rent-to-Buy contract with Hertz.  You will have fully comprehensive hire and reward cover with a £1,000 excess.  That means your liability is limited to £1,000 for any fault claims.

Yes, that’s included.

Yes, 1000 miles per week. If you exceed this, you will be charged on a monthly basis but any excess mileage payments will go towards car payments at the end of the contract.  If you keep the car to the end of the contract you will never pay more than the agreed price at the start of the contract.

Excess mileage costs 20p per mile above the cap.

There is an admin fee of £42 for handling PCNs. The admin fee for Hertz Rent2Buy® is £20.

Yes, your car will be fully licensed and uploaded to Uber so you be ready to start earning immediately.

No, you cannot travel outside of Great Britain.

No additional drivers are allowed to drive under the terms of the agreement.

Yes, standard servicing is included in the weekly rate.

We have an extensive network of service partners across London so you can choose a location convenient for you.  When your service is due we will send you a link to book your vehicle in at a time that suits you and the cost will be covered by Hertz.

Each scheduled maintenance should be completed in line the with manufacturer’s recommended service schedule.  Typically this will be every 15,000-20,000 miles or 12 months for EVs.

We have an extensive network of approved partners across London so you can choose a location convenient for you.  When your MOT is due we will send you a link to book your vehicle in at a time that suits you and the cost will be covered by Hertz.

Hertz customers are covered by 24/7 roadside assistance.  If your car breaks down, contact our customer support team for assistance.

Please let our customer support team know as soon as possible and we will work with you to find a solution.  If payments are missed and you have not been in touch, we reserve the right to immobilize the vehicle.
