EU Non-Finnish citizens:
When you cross the border from one Schengen country to another (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland), your travel documents are normally not inspected by the authorities.
Nevertheless, you must still carry a valid travel document passport or the new type of ID cardas proof of identity.
Non EU renters:
A valid international passport in Roman alphabet will be required at the counter as proof of identity.
Citizens of the Nordic countries may travel in the Nordic countries without a travel document but must be able to prove their identity on request. Documents accepted include a driver's license.
