Rental Qualifications and Requirements

Acceptable form of payment via the internet is limited to major charge cards or credit card information contained in the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards profile.

Charge / credit cards must have available credit for the estimated amount of rental charges plus up to $350.00 in order to secure the rental. In the Ottawa/Gatineau area an additional $400.00 will be held against the credit card. For customers with a PC coupon, the estimated amount is the approximate total not including your promotion.

Debit cards with a Visa or MasterCard logo, stored value/prepaid/gift cards are not acceptable to qualify for rental. They cannot be used either when returning the vehicle.

Acceptable charge / credit cards: American Express / MasterCard / Diners Club / Visa / Optima-Amex / Hertz / JCB Amoco Torch / Discover (Novus) / Japan Airlines / TPA (Transportation Credit Card) / China UnionPay (corporate locations only).
