Rental Qualifications and Requirements

Hertz vehicles must not be driven across the borders of or beyond the following countries/territories: Russia, Dagestan Republic, Iran and Turkey. 

Crossing the border into the permitted countries needs to be requested in advance as special permission is required. A cross border fee of USD 100.00 (including tax) will apply.

Hertz vehicles may be driven into Azerbaijan with prior approval from Hertz Georgia.

Hertz vehicles can be driven in Armenia. One-way bookings to Armenia require at least 4 days' advance notice and are subject to an additional fee of USD 177.00 (including tax). Please note you are also responsible for payment of the road taxes in Armenia.

In all the above, Hertz third party cover will be null and void outside Georgia. It is your responsibility to purchase your own cover.

Should these restrictions be ignored all insurance (Third Party Liability, CDW, TP, PAI, Super Cover), if accepted, shall be deemed, null and void. The driver will be held fully responsible in case of accidents and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle.
