Hertz vehicles cannot be driven into and/or dropped off in any African, Asian, or Middle-East country, nor in Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia & Montenegro, Kosovo, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom.
In addition to this, Hertz vehicles may not be taken off the European continent.
Hertz vehicles may be driven to, and dropped off in Estonia, Lithuania and Poland.
Hertz vehicles may be driven to, but not dropped off in Finland.
Should you bring the vehicle outside Latvia, a Cross Border Fee will apply, except for corporate customers renting on a contract rate.
For travel to Lithuania, Estonia, Poland and Finland, the cross border fee will be € 10.00 (including tax) per day, with a maximum of € 70.00 (including tax) per rental.
For travel to Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland, the cross border fee will be € 200.00 (including tax).
Should you fail to declare driving the vehicle outside Latvia, a penalty fee of € 600.00 may apply.
Should these restrictions be ignored, (Third Party Liability, CDW, TP, PAI, Super Cover), if accepted, shall be deemed null and void. The driver will be held fully responsible in case of damage to or loss of the vehicle and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle.
