Rental Qualifications and Requirements

The minimum age for rentals in Guyana is 25 years for all vehicle groups.

It is, however, possible to rent from 21 years on payment of a young driver surcharge of USD 30.00 per day, USD 210.00 per week and USD 840.00 per month.

The maximum age for rentals in Guyana is 72 years. Drivers over 65 should present a valid doctor’s certificate indicating ability to drive.
