Keep in mind that most auto insurance policies may not cover truck and van rentals -- so carefully check your insurance policy. You might then consider whether the Optional Protection Plans offered by Hertz suit your needs.

Limited Loss Damage Waiver (LLDW): Waives or reduces your responsibility for loss of or damage to the vehicle from most causes, provided the truck or van is used in accordance with all terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement. LLDW is not insurance.

Cargo Protection Insurance (CPI): CPI provides up to $15,000 coverage on included losses, with each claim subject to a $100 deductible.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI):	Renter	Passenger
Accidental Death	$50,000	$5,000
Accidental Medical/not to exceed	$500	$500

Total benefits for any one accident are limited to $75,000.

CPI & PAI are only offered together.
