Am I Eligible?
You must have a Hertz member number to participate in the Gold Plus Rewards Program ("Program"). Persons who do not have a Hertz member number may be enrolled for free by going to hertz.com and clicking on “Gold Plus Rewards" and then "Overview."

Participants or their travel agent must mention the participant's Hertz member number and ask to receive Gold Plus Rewards Points (the code “ZE1”) each time they make a reservation or at the time of rental in order for the member to earn Gold Plus Rewards Points for a particular rental. Gold Plus Rewards Points are used in place of any other frequency program number for a particular rental. In order to receive Gold Plus Rewards Points on all their Hertz rentals, participants may log into their account on hertz.com and update their “Membership Details” located in “My Profile” or call 1-800-654-3131 and request that Gold Plus Rewards be added to their profile.
If, in the ‘Membership Details’ section of your membership profile, you have directed Hertz not to communicate any marketing offers or materials to you, your participation in the Program will be limited to certain transactions you perform on hertz.com or over the phone with Hertz. These transactions consist of obtaining your Points balance and buying Points. We will be unable to send you balance notifications or any other Program materials. You will only receive non-marketing communications Hertz may send in connection with the Program.
If you wish to change that instruction, login to your account on hertz.com and update the “Membership Details” section of “My Profile”.
Participants will earn one point for every qualified U.S. dollar, or its equivalent in the currency tendered on each qualifying rental. Qualifying rentals include all car rentals (excluding truck and van rentals) and optional charges such as Hertz NeverLost, SiriusXM, Fuel Purchase, Insurance coverage options, additional driver charges, additional mileage charges, car seats and more except for Liability Insurance Supplement (LIS) and Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)/Personal Effects Coverage (PEC), at participating locations in, the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas USVI, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
Points earned on rentals in participating countries outside the United States will be converted from the currency of the participating country to U.S. dollars based on the rental check-in (return) date to determine point credits. Points will round up to the next U.S. dollar when the rental transaction amount exceeds $00.50 (for example a qualifying rental transaction of $99.51 will earn 100 (one hundred) Gold Plus Rewards Points).
Corporations and other entities may not participate. Each individual must participate separately and may have only one account within the Program. Neither participation in the Program, nor Gold Plus Rewards Points are transferable. Participants may not combine, barter or otherwise transfer Points with or to other persons.
A participant’s Gold Plus Rewards account information such as current balance earned and redeemed Points can be accessed anytime by logging onto hertz.com.
Members will be allowed to purchase up to 10,000 additional Points per calendar year for 20 cents (US $) per Point by charging to a major credit card if they have a minimum balance of 500 Points. Minimum purchase is 50 Points.
A member can redeem specified points for Hertz Gold Plus Rewards Rentals or participating frequent traveler program miles or points. To redeem miles or points, refer to the directions provided in the “My Account” section of hertz.com.
A Hertz Gold Plus Rewards Rental requires a one-day advanced reservation and the Hertz redemption reward desired must be selected at the time of the reservation.
To use Hertz Gold Plus Rewards Points for a rental in the U.S., Canada, participating U.S. Territories, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, members must redeem Gold Plus Rewards Points in one transaction online when booking a rental. To redeem Points and reserve a car online, log on to hertz.com and make your reservation. Remember to check the yellow box/ "Use my Hertz Gold Plus Rewards Points". If you're itinerary qualifies for a Reward, you'll see your options on the "Review and Book" page. To help you along the way, please view these instructions. Points will be automatically deducted from your account. Once Points are redeemed and a rental reservation is made online, any changes, modifications or cancellations to the Reward reservation may be made online or by calling 1-800-654-2210 in the U.S., and 1-800-263-0600 in Canada for North American reservations, or 1-800-654-3001 for all other international reservations. Please note: You must cancel your reservation 24 hours before you pick up your vehicle in order to have your points returned if you used a Reward.
Redemption of Gold Plus Rewards Points for rentals in participating countries in Europe (France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands) will apply toward pre-paid rentals only for certain compact, intermediate and seven seater car classes, and any additional days beyond those for which points are redeemed, must be paid for in advance in accordance with the rules of the rental. Cars included are manual, but specific car classes will vary by country. Rewards are based on 1 free day, 1 free weekend (1 or 2 days), and one free week. When redeeming for a day weekend reward, it may only be redeemed against a weekend rate and the rental must be kept over a Saturday night. Rates used to calculate Reward redemptions may differ from the on-line rates.
Rewards for rentals in the Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, United States, Canada and participating U.S. Territories will apply toward non pre-paid rentals only and any additional days beyond those for which points are redeemed, must be paid in accordance with the rules of the rental.
Hertz reserves the right to limit the number of cars available for Gold Plus Rewards Rental usage. Gold Plus Rewards Rentals will be subject to vehicle availability at the time and place of rental. Except for One-Way Rewards where offered, vehicle must be returned to original rental location.
AnyDay Rewards may be used during specified AnyDay Rewards travel periods. If the desired date for the commencement of a reward rental falls during an AnyDay Reward period, the whole rental is subject to the utilization of an AnyDay Reward and does not qualify for the use of a Standard Reward. Rewards apply to contracted time and mileage only. Members are responsible for governmental surcharges, taxes, tax reimbursement, vehicle license fees and airport related fees.
Rewards are not combinable. Only one Gold Plus Rewards Rental Reward can be used per rental transaction. So for example, if a member selects a one day, weekend or one week rental for a reward redemption, they may pay for additional days and extend the length of the rental, but they may not redeem for two or more rewards in the same rental reservation (so if they wanted to redeem for four days, they could not redeem four one-day rentals rewards in the same rental reservation). In addition, Gold Plus Rewards Rental Rewards may not be combined with any other discount, promotion, coupon or frequent traveler reward program (i.e., airline frequent flyer, hotel frequency program, Haute Fidélité in France, etc.). All local rental and age requirements apply.
Gold Plus Rewards offers are void where prohibited by law. Gold Plus Rewards Points will not be refunded in the event of no shows, early vehicle returns or reservation cancellation requests, unless the rental is cancelled with at least twenty-four hours prior notice to the rental pick up time shown on the reservation. Gold Plus Rewards Points, frequent traveler miles or points and Gold Plus Rewards Rentals are not exchangeable, refundable or redeemable for cash or credit under any circumstance. Tax liabilities arising from the Program are the sole responsibility of the member.
If a reservation which was booked with points is cancelled within 24 hours of booking, all points will be returned to the members account. If a reservation which was booked using points is cancelled more than 24 hours before the pickup time the following points will be forfeited: If a Gold member, 50% of the points used toward the booking will be forfeited; If a Five Star member, 25% of the points used toward the booking will be forfeited; If a President’s Circle member, all points will be returned to the members account. If the customer does not cancel the reservation prior to the time of pick-up and the rental vehicle is not picked up on the rental date, all the points used toward the rental amount will be forfeited, regardless of the members tier status. Gold Plus Rewards Points are only transferable to a member's spouse or domestic partner. Prior to any Gold Plus Rewards Points transfers, the Member’s spouse or domestic partner must have his/her own Hertz Gold Plus Rewards number.
The following frequent traveler programs are participating in this Program: Aeroplan (Air CanadaTM), Alaska Airlines®, American Airlines®, Amtrak®, Delta Air Lines®, Frontier AirlinesTM, Hawaiian Airlines®, JetBlue Airways®, Marriott Bonvoy®, Priority Club® Rewards, Southwest Airlines®, Spirit Airlines®, and United Airlines®. Travel partner participation in this Program may change without notice.
Hertz has the right to change, limit or modify Program rules, Rewards, Reward structure and Gold Plus Rewards Point levels at any time with or without notice.
Hertz has the right to terminate the Gold Plus Rewards Program at any time upon six months prior notice to members. As of the termination date, members will no longer be able to earn Gold Plus Rewards Points or to redeem Gold Plus Rewards Points for Rewards. Hertz may terminate the Program at any time in whole or in part without advance notice if required to do so by applicable law. In addition, the Program may be suspended or terminated if events beyond Hertz’s reasonable control, such as computer or electronic transmission failure, materially affect Hertz’s ability to continue the Program.
