7. La Brea Tar Pits and Museum

Discover Ice Age fossils, a bubbling tar pit, and prehistoric plants at the La Brea Tar Pits and Museum. Situated right in the middle of the city, this unique attraction offers a fascinating glimpse at the area's ancient past. Take a peek at active dig sites where archaeologists still uncover hidden treasures, and then head inside to the museum to find fossils of a variety of interesting animals.
