•Optional Renter Protection Services 
Whether you rent a car while traveling on business or on holiday within Australia, it’s important to know you’re protected in the event of an accident. From selected locations, Hertz offers Maximum Cover, which provides the highest level of renter protection. MAX Cover contains:

• Accident Damages Excess (ADE) reduced to ZERO dollars
• Single Vehicle Accident (SVA) excess is waived
• Tire and windshield cover
• A capped charge of 10 days maximum per 30 day rental (this option is not available on four-wheel drive and commercial vehicles).

Other levels of protection are available. Please refer to counter staff. As further excesses may apply, please refer to the Hertz Rental Agreement.

•Refueling Options 
Hertz provides you with a full tank of fuel when you collect your vehicle and options are available for replacing the fuel you use.
• Fuel Purchase Option (FPO) 
Selected locations allow you to pre-purchase a tank of fuel at a discounted/competitive price, at the start of rental.
• Fuel Service Charge (FSC) 
If you don’t choose our Fuel Purchase Option, you may return the vehicle with less than a full tank of fuel and Hertz will refuel for you. This charge will be added to the cost of the rental (subject to availability).

•Driver Assistance Services 
To aid drivers with disabilities, hand controls can be fitted to selected vehicles at selected locations. Please advise our reservations staff when you book to ensure vehicle availability.

•Make it easy with Satellite Navigation 
The NeverLost in-car satellite navigation system will guide you with clear voice prompts in your choice of languages and mapping for many destinations. It can be fitted to any Hertz vehicle and installs in less than a minute. It's also portable, for use while walking through major cities. So whether you’re travelling on business or on holiday, they can drive with confidence.

•Cellular Phone Rentals 
When you rent with Hertz, you can receive a free cell phone rental with no activation fee and up to 40% off roaming charges. Terms and Conditions
Hertz Affordable Australia Program 

All rentals are subject to the terms and conditions contained in the rental agreement.  Affordable Program Dates: Valid 2009-2010.

Reservations/Payment: All reservations must be made in the US. Rentals can be prepaid to Hertz in the US by personal credit card or cash no less than 14 days prior to departure. If you have chosen this option, you will receive a Hertz prepaid rental voucher that must be presented at the Hertz counter upon arrival in Australia.

Affordable Non-Prepaid Rates: Rates include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)* and unlimited mileage in Metropolitan Region (please check with Hertz for Metro, Country and Remote location details). Rates exclude Goods & Services Tax (GST), Stamp Duty, optional services and one-way rental charges.

Affordable Prepaid Rates: Rates include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)*, unlimited mileage in Metropolitan Region (please check with Hertz for Metro, Country and Remote location details) and Goods & Services Tax. Rates exclude Stamp Duty, optional services and one-way rental charges. Payment will be charged to a credit/charge card acceptable to Hertz, at time of booking. Upon con¬firmation of payment, Hertz will fax a proof-of-purchase voucher to the travel agent, or to the renter with a U.S. fax number. To receive the voucher by mail, 14 days advance notice prior to departure is required. Prepaid vouchers can only be received by U.S. mail or faxed correspondence. This voucher must be presented at the time of rental and is non-transferable. There are no administrative charges for changes or cancellations to the voucher up to 24 hours prior to rental pickup. Before a credit is issued for the original voucher, it must be returned to The Hertz Corporation, P.O. Box 26141, Oklahoma City, OK 73126 or faxed to 1-405-280-6560. Extra days not covered by voucher will be charged at the prevailing “extra day” rate. After the rental date, no credit will be issued on full or unused portions of vouchers.

Accident Damage: Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)* provides cover for loss of, or damage to, Third Party Property and the Hertz vehicle in the event of an accident, however the renter is liable for the payment of an Accident Damages Excess (ADE). An additional excess applies for Single Vehicle Accident (SVA) damage for all 4WD rentals and car rentals originating from Country and Remote locations only. These excess amounts may be reduced by purchasing Hertz optional Accident Excess Reduction (AER) or Protection Package (PKG) at participating locations, at the time of vehicle collection. Please check at time of reservation for full details on excess amounts. See section of Optional Services for details.

Airport Concession Fee Recovery (ACFR): At selected airports, renters may be required to pay an Airport Concession Fee Recovery (ACFR), which will appear as a separate charge on the Rental Agreement.

Fuel: Fuel is not included in the rates. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than at the time of rental, a refueling charge will apply. Alternatively, at participating locations the renter can elect to purchase the Fuel Purchase Option (FPO), which lets the renter prepay for a full tank at time of pick-up. Please check at time of rental for further details.

Goods & Services Tax (GST): All rates and charges will be subject to a Goods & Services Tax.

Minimum Rental Period: The minimum rental period is 24 hours, except Australia’s Northern Territory, where the minimum rental period is 2 days.

One Way Rentals: One Way Rentals are available between most Hertz locations and are subject to the Hertz One Way Rental policy at the time of rental. For rentals involving the Northern Territory and/or Western Australia, please check with Hertz at the time of reservation.

Optional Services: Available at selected locations, the renter may purchase the optional Protection Package (PKG) which contains Accident Excess Reduction (AER), Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) and Personal Effects Cover (PEC).** The Hertz Protection Package is offered at a discounted rate. The renter is free, however, to choose combinations of these optional services that best meet their needs. A brochure with full details on optional services is also available at time of vehicle pickup at participating locations.

Rate Guarantee: Rates are subject to change without notice, but upon reservation, remain fixed for one hundred and eighty (180) days.

Rental Length: A Hertz rental day is 24 consecutive hours from the time of vehicle collection. A grace period of 59 minutes is allowed for late returns. Each extra hour or part hour thereafter, is charged at one third of the daily rate to a maximum of three hours, when another day will be charged.

Vehicle Types: Vehicles can be reserved by car class only. Car examples are subject to change without notice. Vehicle models may differ and speci¬fications may vary by location and/or country.
